The Anointed Shepherd Boy

God sends Samuel to Bethlehem, to Jesse’s house, to anoint a new king. Rejecting Eliab and his brothers, God chooses David, the youngest, who tends sheep. Samuel anoints him with oil; the Spirit of the Lord rushes upon David. Thus begins Israel’s future king.
